Second speaker is up! Niklas from Green hat People!

How to make life more unpredictable? In comes Niklas’ application! First you need a phone. Second, you need to like games. Third - go treasure hunting! It’s the equivalent of treasure hunting with a paper and pen, but in real time, and better. It’s spontaneous!

He brings up the N95 again. What a coincidence!

MMS doesn’t seem to be popular. Only 3-5 hands up in usage count.

Culture plays a role in adoption rate.

Enablers:

  • new technologies
  • handsets
  • networks
  • regulations

Drivers:

  • killer applications (or strateiges to come up with the apps)
  • packaging of services
  • ease of use
  • pricing

The younger generation is more tech savvy and tends to be more receptive to new technologies. Should this group be the target group for new developers of applications and technologically focused?

Is it possible to get people to pay for services like what Green hat People can provide? Niklas says no. It’s really difficult. Advertising is the way to go.

Vulnerabilities from people about giving away their mobile number? Are they concerned? Should they be?

Annika, who has kindly extended an invitation to me for next weeks Disruptive Media Conference, commented : If something is going to be mobile - the idea is to make it mobile. Ease of use and speed is essential.
